There are venues you document, and then there are venues that stop you mid-stride. Pursell Farms is the latter.
Tucked into the rolling landscape of Sylacauga, Alabama, Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms is one of those rare properties that feels entirely removed from the ordinary. The moment you arrive, something about the air shifts. It’s quieter here. More intentional. And the setting reflects exactly the kind of wedding it was designed to hold.
The crown of Hamilton Place is its Greek Revival-style villa – an intimate, white columned estate framed by an abundance of greenery, including their 100-year-old trees and a sparkling lake. It’s an exclusive space that brings layers of luxury, warmth, and editorial to your southern wedding.
As a wedding photographer, this has become one of my favorite places for wedding and engagement photos. Its architecture and outdoor space provide perfect composition. Every corner offers an opportunity for documentation, it’s truly breathtaking.

Although the venue is beautiful, as a couple you experience a custom, white-glove service — true Southern hospitality before and during your wedding. The care that goes into every detail on property mirrors exactly what I aim to bring behind my lens.
When a venue takes that kind of pride in the experience, it shows.
The scale of Pursell Farms is something that simply cannot be fully communicated at ground level. From above, captured using drone photography, the relationship between the villa, the lake, the 100-year-old trees, and the surrounding landscape becomes something else entirely.
You begin to understand the intention behind the design of this place. It is a property that was built with legacy in mind.

Hamilton Place draws a very particular kind of couple. They are not looking for a venue that simply checks a box. They are looking for an experience — one that their families will speak of for years and that their photographs will reflect for generations.
These are the clients I feel most honored to serve. The ones who understand that how the day feels matters more than how it performs.

Having your wedding at Pursell Farms allows your venue to become more than a backdrop, it’s an experience for couples and their guests. And the photographs that come with it deserve to be treated with the same weight.
If you are planning a wedding in Alabama and you have not yet considered Pursell Farms, I would encourage you to visit in person. Photographs can suggest what it looks like. Being there tells you how it feels.
And if you are looking for a photographer who has worked within these grounds, who understands the light, the architecture, and the way the greenery moves throughout the day — I would love to be part of your conversation.
Your photographs from a venue like this should feel as considered as the venue itself. That is what I am here for. Explore our wedding packages and inquire here.
