Some couples walk into a session and you can tell within the first five minutes that this is going to be easy. Not because they are experienced in front of a camera, but because they are so settled in each other that the camera becomes an afterthought. That was Chloe and Trevor.
Relaxed, present, and completely themselves from start to finish — they gave every location exactly what it needed. And the locations gave it right back.

The Georgia State Capitol is the kind of backdrop that does not need much help. The architecture is commanding, the light off the stone is remarkable, and the scale of it creates portraits that feel significant without trying to be.
For couples who want something editorial and a little unexpected in their gallery, this is a location worth the drive.

Berry College might be the most quietly beautiful campus in the South. The grounds are vast, the buildings are timeless, and there is a calm quality to the whole place that translates beautifully in photographs.
Chloe and Trevor moved through it like they had been there a hundred times — easy, unposed, exactly the kind of energy that makes a gallery feel alive rather than staged.

If you attended Berry College or simply love the campus, an engagement session here is something worth considering. It is one of those locations that photographs differently every season and rewards every hour of light.
Coming home to Alabama, Lake Guntersville brought the session into a completely different register. Open sky, soft water, and afternoon light that does exactly what you want it to.
The session ended after the sun went down, with nothing but the water and whatever light the evening had left to offer.
Some of the most honest images from a session happen in these last quiet minutes — when the day is winding down, the couple has fully settled in, and there is nothing left to do but be together. These frames are quieter. But they tend to be the ones people return to.

If you have more than one place that feels like yours — a campus, a city, a stretch of water — I would love to build something around it. Multi-location engagement sessions are one of my favorite ways to tell a couple’s story before the wedding day, and they make for a gallery that feels genuinely personal rather than interchangeable.
Whether you are in Alabama, Georgia, or anywhere across the Southeast, I would love to connect. Inquire here.
